Pharmaceutical Chemistry department was established 1379 AH (1959 AD). Since that date, the department has been preparing pharmacists who work in all regions of the Kingdom and provide pharmaceutical and health services to citizens in all public and private fields. The department made some changes in study plans of bachelor, master, and phD according to 2030 vision, and the development is still continuing.
The faculty members of the department also conduct scientific research in the fields of pharmaceutical chemistry, which includes various fields, 
 
Hundreds of research papers have been published since the establishment of the department in scientific journals and obtaining many patents registered internationally and locally. The faculty members of the department also participate in various consultations and services for the various sectors of countries related to the drug.
