Overview

The chair aims to enhance pharmacological safety and prevent side effects of medicines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to achieve right use of medicine through implementing research programs in pharmacological safety, training specialists in this field, and educating the community to contribute to reducing medication errors and side effects associated with the use of medication.

Objectives:

1. Research cooperation with relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reduce drug damage.

2. Studying the side effects of drugs and determining the factors that reduce their incidence.

3. Studying the effectiveness of pharmacovigilance programs used in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and developing them in a creative way to reduce the side effects of drugs.

4. Establishing training programs on drug safety for health professionals.

5. Contribute to educating the community to reduce medication errors and side effects of medications.
