Former Deans
Prof. Mohamed Al-Ghamrawy

Prof. Mohamed Al-Ghamrawy

Term: 1379-1382

Education: He earned his baccalaureate in 1911, then a higher teaching certificate in 1914. He completed his studies in Britain, receiving a Bachelor of Science from the University of London in 1922 and a fellowship from Nottingham University in the same year.

Professional Background: Prof. Al-Ghamrawy advanced through academic positions in Egypt's College of Pharmacy, becoming a professor of chemistry in 1942. He was elected a member of the Royal Arabic Language Academy in 1943. He continued teaching until his retirement in 1953, working as a professor emeritus until 1960. In 1960, he was invited to Saudi Arabia to establish the first College of Pharmacy at King Saud University, serving as its dean for three years. Upon returning to Egypt, he worked as a visiting professor at the College of Fundamentals of Religion, delivering postgraduate lectures until his passing in 1971.
