Vice Deanship of higher education and Scientific Research Message

The College Vice Deanship of higher education and Scientific Research is concerned with supervising the educational, academic and research process for postgraduate students and the related units in the college. Where the agency supervises, in coordination with the concerned authorities inside and outside the university, to follow up and develop the college’s policy for postgraduate studies, scientific research and scholarships. The agency also contributes, in cooperation with the Deanship of Graduate Studies and college units, to overseeing the operations of graduate studies programs in the college. 

The College Vice Deanship of higher education and Scientific Research is keen to develop a research strategy and follow up the college’s activities in the field of scientific research and coordinate with the Deanship of Scientific Research at the University and the Research Center in the College and other research institutions to provide support for research and to develop tools for its implementation in the college. 
The agency receives and follows up the needs of the departments from researchers, faculty members and teaching assistants in various specializations. The agency also supervises the following-up of the college’s scholarship conditions abroad and submits the reports to the dean of the college on the status of teaching assistants and scholarships.

Activities and tasks of the College Vice Deanship of higher education Studies and Scientific Research:: 

1. Follow-up and implementation of the college’s policy for higher education and scholarships.
2. Supervising the admissions requirements of higher education’s programs.
3. Supervising the higher education programs and its tests and committees in the college.
4. Coordinating with the college units of all related fields.
5. Supervising committees which related to the college and submit reports to the concerned authorities.
6. Supervising the (New student orientation week) for postgraduate students, and following up its implementation.
7. Supervising the college’s activities of scientific research field and its development.
8. Supervising the development of the research strategy and plan, and setting up implementation plan in the college.
9. Providing financial support for research from the university and from funding departments outside the university.
10. Receiving, following-up faculty members researches needs and participants in various specialists.
11. Following-up of the college’s scholarship students abroad.
12. Receiving the files of post- graduate students who applying to the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and distributing them to the various departments in the college.
13. Receiving departments decisions regarding postgraduate students' applications to the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies after accreditation by the college.
14. Supervising applications of (withdraw and defer), as well as register and deprivation lists according to regulations and decisions related to postgraduate Students.
15. Coordination with the Deanship of Scientific Research at the University and the Research Center in the College and other research institutions regarding conducting research and obtaining support for it.
16. Coordination with the Department for attracting Faculty Members and Researchers at the University regarding the process condition.
17. Encouraging the establishment of academic chairs or research centers.
18. Managing specialized projects and specialized events.
19. Following up updating the college website.
20. Implementation all works that assigned by The Dean of the college.
